will purchase this brand again. i mean't to post this long ago, but anyway, have had this laptop over a year and has done everything i asked of it - was turned on to the toshiba brand by a friend in the computer repair business who gave it his highest grade - adding memory for vista took away any complaints i might have had.
Pros: Reasonable price; bright, sharp display; 4 USB ports; accepts all the common memory cards; nicely sized, functional keyboard; power brick is smaller than average.Cons: Heavy; only came with 1GB of memory (but easily upgradeable to 2GB by user for around $40); built-in speakers are crappy.
It also has the capacity to provide good entertainment. I would recommend it to persons doing research and teaching. It makes a good companion and good buying choice for starters. This is an incredible piece of equipment. It is very very versatile, reliable and economically priced.
